DE FOREST SURABAYA(REVIEW) : New Aesthetic and Magical Cafe in Surabaya !!

On the last Thursday 14th of March 2020, I was invited to join in the Soft Opening of De Forest at Jalan Trunojoyo 91 SUB. I was so excited when arriving at the front gate of this place. YES! Just looks like its named, this place is hidding secretly like a secret forest. You will hard to find 'em at the first time you go to this place. The front gate was covered by -I think- artificial grasses and flowers which assmebled beautifully. The first impressions when you're walking through its beautiful labyrinth feel like magical! REALLY REALLY LOVE IT 😍😍

Everything ini here were gorgeous even the food and beverages that made me feel so love with this place. The food scored 90/100 but unfortunately the beverages comes 60/100 for the red ones(Red Velvet) because it tasted like an ordinary chocolate drink although it has a beautiful visual.

Chicken Rice Platter

This menu consist of 1/2 Kalasan Chicken, Urap-Urap which is soo gewd but a lil bit too sweet for me and my boyfriend, Kyuri, Sambal De Forest (Spicy yet tasteful!), Sambal Kecap(to full fill your Indonesian taste), and Tapioca Cracker which is the pink-red one. The Fried Rice was savory although a bit spicy but quite challenging! The best of this main course was the Kalasan Chicken or Ayam Goreng Kalasan which tasted AWESOME. You m u s t try it 🤤🤤

Grilled Ribs

The menu before was what My Boo ordered. And the one bellow was mine. Just like the Chicken Rice Platter, this Grilled Ribs menu also can be servings of 2 ppl. You will get 3 ribs which are SOO BIG with Peanut Sauce, BBQ Sauce, Sambal De Forest, Cucumber, Shallot, Carrot, and Lime.

The focused of this place is their Night View which is sooo beautiful. The decorations and all everything in this place is soo GORGEOUS! It made me wanna collect a thousand pictures in every corner OMG!!! 😍😍

Every corner of this place was decorated beautifully even their bathroom front corner #LOL! As you can see in the picture bellow, I took a photo in front of the toilet door at my left side HAHA 😂 Because it's unfortunate to miss 📷📸

My friend, the host of this Soft Opening event help to take a picture of me and my boyfriend. She said if it's like we're invited to a wedding reception! LOLLLL.. we dressed up like this because we're just went home from work. Ahhh.. if only the event held at the weekend, I can prepare my outfit nicely and take more aesthetic photos hiks!
